The focus of this two-hour structured session is "speed" and "form", i.e. capturing the essence of a subject. You will be guided to complete some "warm-up" color and drawing exercises and prepared for doing ink and watercolor-based painting in the session. You will learn how to quickly sketch and capture multiple subjects in the park with ink and wash technique. You will be advised to keep things rather loose and time your drawing/painting.

You will have a chance to meet and greet like-minded people, choose your own subjects in the garden and be guided to complete the exercises, artworks and have some take away homework with the learnt technique.

  • Beginners Class This class is designed for those who have had little to no experience with a crochet hook. You will learn the crochet basics and terminology and we'll get you started on your very own granny square.

  • Other Classes Perfect for those who've already done our popular Beginners Class!

    I attended her Valentine amigurumi class and I?m convinced that the C in Carrie stands for crochet. You can tell she wants you to succeed and finds enjoyment in teaching the steps and seeing you progress. I can?t believe I can read crochet instructions now because that was like another language before.. Thank you for the class and for being so patient with me when I was struggling!! 😇

    This was a great class!!! The instructor Carrie is very knowledgeable about crochet and wants to make sure that you understand each concept. The place that she choose for the class was a nice place that I will definitely visit again at a later date. If you are interested in learning how to crochet I suggest taking a class from Carrie. I look forward to learning more things from her in the future.

Interestingly, Carrie learned to crochet before she learned to speak due to a speech impediment that she struggled with as a child and overcame as a teenager.

    Despite her early challenges, Carrie loves creating beautiful gifts and helping others master and grow in the art of crochet. her mission is to help others advance their crochet skills exponentially. She believes that everyone can benefit from learning this craft and enjoys watching her students progress from beginners to experts. Carrie has a friendly and patient teaching style that makes her classes both informative and enjoyable. She is always happy to answer questions and provide guidance.
